Before the holiday break, our 4th Graders presented their Gingerbread Map Projects! During their Social Studies mapping unit, students were tasked to create maps out of gingerbread and candy that included at least ten geographical features. In addition to creating maps, they tied their mapping unit with their Government unit from earlier this fall by having each student elect a President of their land, create the three forms of Government, craft three laws, select five cabinet departments, and elect nine Supreme Court Justices. They then shared their tasty-looking and creative fictional country with their fellow students, teachers, and family members. Great job, 4th Grade!
