BFS upper school students participated in the first middle school Geo Model United Nations conference this past Saturday hosted by George School’s Model UN team. Students from three different schools joined to discuss the importance of current social and global issues relating to this year's theme: Strengthening our Humanity. Before the event, all students did prior research on their topic and created policy proposals for the country they were representing. At the event, guided by the George School UN team, delegates presented the issues to everyone on the floor, and a debate was held to compromise on solutions for each country.
Seventh-grade co-advisor Bill Lynch said, “The BFS students were outstanding! They demonstrated curiosity, a willingness to learn, the ability to think on their feet, flexibility, and negotiation skills.”
